A workshop provided by the Stimulating Physics Network.

Are you a non-physicist teaching GCSE physics to higher tier? Or a technician supporting physics at this level?

This workshop has two aims. Firstly to develop a solid understanding of the concepts taught in higher tier physics. Then to identify key areas of difficulty for students and to share strategies for helping them to succeed in the classroom.

Topics covered will include transformers, radioactive decay calculations, resolving forces, vector addition, momentum, ray diagrams, wavefront diagrams, radio wave production, Flemming’s left hand rule, electric motors and the generator effect.

This workshop is suited to teachers, trainees and technicians, and there will be a free bag of IOP resources for each delegate.
