Speakers: Peter Watkins (University of Birmingham)

We are all made from three simple building blocks namely up and down quarks and electrons. In experiments at CERN and elsewhere high energy collisions produce many heavier quarks and leptons as well as bosons that carry the fundamental forces between particles. In this lecture Peter Watkins will briefly summarise our knowledge of these particles that seem to be the fundamental constituents of our universe.
