Recent studies of the functional properties of heteroepitaxial interfaces between complex oxides have discovered a tremendous range of exciting new science, including properties such as magnetism and superconductivity which are not present in either parent material or appear at greatly elevated temperatures.
This meeting will draw together leading scientists with diverse expertise to understand and exploit such oxide interfaces.
