Summary:

This event is brought to you by the London and South East Branch and UHPhysoc. Professor Alan Davies will be describing the physics behind Christmas. Have you ever wondered how Santa and his reindeer could make it to all the children around the world? How snowflakes are formed and how each one of them are unique? Or even just how you could perfectly fit your fairy lights around your tree? All this and more will be answered! 

Speaker Bio:

Alan Davies is Emeritus Professor of Mathematics at the University of Hertfordshire where he was Head of Department until his retirement. Since then he has spent most of his time working with school pupils and presenting mathematics and science to general audiences of all ages
