This free workshop explains physics principles linked to sports and athletics, taking much of its inspiration from the recent 2012 Olympics. It introduces classroom activities, practical ideas and resources suitable for teaching KS3 and KS4.

The main topics covered include forces and motion, energy, momentum and experimental design and we will look at ways to overcome some of the teaching challenges linked to these topics. Other aspects of physics (e.g. projectiles and energy) can be covered too if time allows. Freebies to take away.
