Speakers: Dr John Lillington

Dr John Lillington will discuss the future of nuclear power.
Dr John Lillington is Chief Technologist, Nuclear Power Generation with Serco Technical & Consulting Services. His career in the UK nuclear industry has spanned over 35 years, initially with the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA), and also with its commercial arm, AEA Technology. He graduated in mathematics from the University of London (BSc, PhD) and is a Fellow of the Institutes of Physics and Mathematics and a Chartered Engineer. John has worked on all the principal reactor systems (water, gas and fast reactor), both as a technical specialist and as a leader of national and international programmes on reactor performance and safety. He is a part-time lecturer and examiner at several UK universities and has published two books and a number of articles on nuclear power related subjects.
Attendance free, non-members welcome.
