The rainbow is a natural atmospheric phenomenon well-known to everyone. it is universally regarded as a thing of beauty. However, there is much about the rainbow that is often missed.

We shall see a wide variety of rainbow phenomena some of which will be familiar to all of us, other will be not so well known. We shall explain the double bow and why the colours are always int he same order. We'll see rainbows in places other than in the sky and we shall answer the questions "can you see that rainbow?" all aspects can be explained using mathematics and physics.
