Join us for a journey through a career in various maritime-related industries, as told by a North-Eastern Engineer, covering topics as varied as: large diesel engine and steam turbine manufacture; design and building of fast patrol boats and major warships for navies around the worls; development of oil production from deep water West of Shetland, and worldwide.
Some notable aspects include the description of well-known major warships, sunk in the Falkland and Middle Eastern conflicts, with which the speaker was heavily involved, and the discussion of ROV tooling systems used to facilitate oil production from hostile, remote deep water locations.
