Speakers: Tim Davis

Tim Davis will discuss the role of statistical science in ensuring that the interplay between inductive and deductive logic converges to a solution when tackling engineering problems. Some case study related to properties of materials and the aeronautics of flight will be used as examples.
Tim Davis spent 30 years in automotive industry, in various technical and management roles, both in the UK and overseas. With a PhD in statistical science, he is a chartered Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, and the Royal Statistical Society.
