On Wednesday 19th March at 15:30 the IOP South Central will be visiting the Diamond Light Source in Oxfordshire. Free and open to all, the visit will include a guided tour of the synchrotron giving you the chance to learn about one of the UK’s premier science experiments.

The Diamond Light Source is the UK’s national synchrotron facility, located at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus. By accelerating electrons to near light-speed, Diamond generates brilliant beams of light from infra-red to X-rays which are used for academic and industry research (to learn more click here).
