Speakers: Prof. Yvonne Rogers, The Open University

Ubiquitous computing has arrived. The world we live in has become suffused with computers. So much so that our lifestyles are radically changing, raising the question of what it means to be human when everything we do is supported or augmented by technology. In my talk, I will give an overview of the field, contrasting the highly influential vision of Ubiquitous Computing set in the 90s by Weiser and the stark realities and challenges we face today.
