The University of Sheffield Engineering Symposium (USES) is a day-long event focusing on showcasing the research pursued in the University of Sheffield and its Faculty of Engineering with special emphasis on interdisciplinary work and promoting collaborations. This conference is envisaged to bring together researchers, engineers and scientists from around the university to explore the latest technological advances and research results in core areas of engineering. Through a combination of distinguished plenary speakers, parallel technical thematic sessions led by leading experts from academia and industry and interactive poster sessions, participants will showcase their research efforts and technologies and share visions with each other and with delegates spanning from academia and industry.

Dr. Mirko Kovac - Director of the Aerial Robotics Lab at Imperial

Professor Damien Lacroix - Mechanobiology

Professor John Harding - Professor of Material Simulation and Visiting Professor at UCL

Professor Allan Matthews - Professor of Surface Engineering

Professor Alejandro Frangi  - Professor of Biomedical Image Computing

Professor Visakan Kadirkamanathan - Professor of Signal Processing

Professor Sandor M. Veres -  Autonomous Systems and Robotics

We have an Energy theme for which we have a Debate planned amongst some of the most well respected Energy experts and the topic would be Future primary energy sources- where should the UK be sourcing its primary energy by the year 2050?

& our Plenary Speakers in the Afternoon are :

The charge is £40 per person  ( £50 after 15th of June)  for the entire event  (0830- 1930) that consists of
Morning Session, Lunch , Afternoon Session with Plenary speakers-  Poster session, Networking and Drinks reception. Refreshments throughout the day.
