A workshop from the Stimulating Physics Network.
Taking physics learning outside the classroom has become easier than ever with new technologies. Join us for a session on flipped learning! We’ll be exploring ways to:
1) get pupils learning the content and skills at home that they normally would do in class
2) get pupils tackling the problems and questions in class that they normally would do at home
Why flipped learning?
With flipped learning, students can learn independently at their own rate, and then come to class having thought about the content before they start putting things into practice. This should leave you more time to explore possible questions during the actual lesson.
Refreshments available from 4.30pm. The timetable is below – you can arrive late/leave early if you need to. Please bring along any ideas or resources that have worked for you.
4.30 – 5pm General sharing of ideas/demos.
5 – 6pm Flipping learning – led by Lewis and Lawrence.
6 – 6.30pm Continued discussion and sharing of further ideas and resources.
