The Institute of Physics in Ireland and The Irish Meteorological Society
will jointly host a conference on Saturday, 17 November 2012 titled:
'Weather and Health : An Irish Perspective'.
Among the speakers and their topics will be:
Prof. John Crown (Seanad Éireann) - 'Cancer Risks and Weather'
Dr. Mathilde Pascal (French Public Health Agency) - 'Heatwaves and Mortality in Ireland'
Dr. Chris Morris (University of Ulster) - 'Mental Health (Suicide) and Weather'
Gavin Maguire (HSE) - 'Emergency Planning in the HSE to Cope With Extreme Weather Events'

Priority booking for members of the IOP and the IMS will commence at the end of October. Members will be notified in advance.

The event will be held in The National Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin, Dublin.
To commence at 10:00 and finish at 16:00.
There will registration with complimentary tea and coffee from 09.15,
with further breaks for mid-morning coffee and for lunch.
