Open committee meeting of the Yorkshire Branch - all members are welcome to attend.
Dr. Mike Ries, chair of the Yorkshire Branch, writes:
"As the Chair of the Yorkshire IOP I would like to warmly invite you to our next committee meeting. This will be on Friday 11 October 2013 at 6:30pm in The Leeds Library. If you would like to see what goes on in our committee meetings and to take part in the discussions, then here is an opportunity to do so. The purpose of our committee meetings is to plan events, such as physics lectures, outreach programmes and indeed anything that the Yorkshire physics community would find useful and interesting.
"If you do intend to come along, it would be useful if you would email me in advance so that I can get an idea of how many will be at the meeting. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org
"The meeting will last at most an hour and there will be coffee, tea and biscuits served from 6pm onwards. If you have any comments, ideas or suggestions that you would like to be discussed at the committee meeting, please feel free to email me them, even if you are not able to make the meeting in person.
"Afterwards we will be eating a meal at the Loch Fyne Restaurant and you are welcome to come along! This restaurant is on the City Square at LS1 2ES. The meal will start at 8pm. The cost of a main course ranges from £10 to £25. If you would like to join us then please email me in advance."
